Board Meeting Minutes

  1. Approved June minutes
  2. Party successful, but less attendance than expected
  3. Lot- possibly losing trailer lot across the street
  1. Pat in communication with city
  1. Setting up LTR for Govt, to start 7/23.
  1. No Sign-ups so far
  1. Give away last year's Fall Regatta T shirts, all very large shirts,only sold three at the June picnic.  
  2. .Peter Allen wishes to discuss Salt Works at BIAC
  1. Decline- no wish to be involved
  1. Issues with Homeless using Facility.
  1. New Business:
  1. 2 Board Terms ending
  1. Creating nominating committee
  1. Social- Want to write up a proposal for SJSU for using Facebook or Google+ for BIAC social commentary/photo sharing etc.
  2. Oct 15th- Running race along Maple St
  3. CDBA- Revising new contract.
  1. Want to move to congrue with other membership fees
  2. Pat, Cynthia, Claro, and Joyce to discuss

  1. ROC: No update
  2. RET: Kaschper single is being repaired
  1. Membership: Posted current member list
  1. Working on welcoming new members
  1. Facilities: New combo for door
  1. Ramp to be repaired next week (7/18)
  2. Mark Greenough is working on weather stripping for the oar rack, white stripe on trex deck, and replacing sandbags for the singles 
  3. Nora Cain to complete Boathouse Clean-up day
  1. Social- Menlo swim event Aug 28th
  1. Vicky Bialas and Carol to lead
  1. Communications- move to Google Groups is up and running.

  2. Regatta: Beginning fundraising
  3. Launch: Lots of repairs needed
  4. Safety: Chuck’s report given- volunteers to follow up.

  1. Coaches Report: Coaches held a meeting
  2. Rowing:
  1. Advanced Team: Making changes in coaching for prep for HOCR
  2. Intermediate Team: Infusion of former Novices
  3. Novice Team: Consists of 2011 Novices only, able to fill an 8+
  4. Scullers: Sunday Lessons are struggling, setting up database to help find rowing partners.
  5. Sunday Crew: Resuming soon
  1. Paddling: Regatta went well
  2. Dragon Boating: Stanford lightweights training here
  1. To represent the USA in next regatta
  1. LTR: session 4 is full and has a waitlist
