For BIAC, the thrill begins with the 9:00 Government
crew races. This "Golden Oar" race began in 2010 at the first
PortFest where two Redwood City government bodies (Council and
Planning Commission) challenged each other to a 500 meter rowing
race in collegiate eights.
This year it's a grudge match and each team has been training
since August to ensure their name gets on the trophy. You
won't find this race (yet) on the book at Ceasars!
